Hot new bar - Alloneword
So here it is, the door you need to look for. Walk up Brunswick Street past the Buffalo Club and the Sky Bay, avoid the Brunswick Street Station and keep walking on that side of the road and you'll see it.Inside is the hip new bar Alloneword. It's very cool and smart with clean bare lines. There are two bar areas, one inside, one out. The outside area has a very industrial feel and, while I was there, more graffiti was being added to the walls.Find it at 188 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley.

Urbane reopens in mid-November + Brisbane's first laneway bar
Premier Brisbane city restaurant Urbane will reopen its doors in mid-November after five months of renovations. But there are steak knives - co-owners Andrew Buchanan and Drew Patten have taken their winning formula and announced the addition of two new venues. The Euro and The Laneway will be unveiled in just over six weeks to coincide with the re-launch of Urbane.
