Things That Have Made My Eyes Water
So clearly I cannot fall asleep nor can I finish my assignments without distraction, ergo I shall make a post on my blog, because really, what else is there to do as it approached 3 am?So a day ago while I was studying a friend was playing classical music mixed in with various opera songs. The song Mille Lune Mille Onde by Andrea Bocelli came on and I got that water pressure and head throb, in a good way, from the song. Whether it is because it brings back memories from a while back or whether it is because a certain combination of musical notes can hit me hard emotionally, I don't know. Maybe it's because the song was featured in the Bertoli commercial for tomato sauc
The Early Week Party Scene and Tiesto
I finally have a REAL drunken-related post after so long. It finally is reading break and with the addition of being sick earlier in the week, I had the entire week off. That said, the goal was to get a ridiculous amount of school work done and study for my two remaining midterms the following week, but I managed to end up going out and enjoying myself as well.My friend whom I call Kelly had a house guest for a few days that was friends with her bff from Australia. This happened to be on a Tuesday and Wednesday, which really are not the most happening days in the city. I joined the crew and we had a couple drinks each night before going out, minus me the driver of cour
Food and Floods
I don't know what it is with me lately but I've gone baking crazy! Cookies, cakes, casseroles, I bake it all. Maybe not the best, but I at least try. Nonetheless I need to cease this addiction since I actually cannot eat anything I bake if there is a granule of sugar or speck of flour. On another note, Scotland must now be crossed off my itinerary for Europe this winter since the nation has immensely flooded. I'd rather not get my boots wet, Scotland will just have to wait again, but it will happen for sure... eventually.Where shall I go now? I'm already going to Rome, which will be kickass, but I still would like to travel a little more sinc
Stress Free... for now
There is no feeling in the world (or at least that I've felt before) better than the feeling of accomplishment. The breath of relaxation and the thought of achievement after a period of hard work are triggers of euphoria to me. Why? Because I am an apathetic student that finds thrills in completing exams and assignments, as well as finding kick ass parking spots, getting a free drink coupon at Starbucks because the drink order was done wrong but the drink was still to liking, and even baking. Though I should avoid the latter because I don't like to be around sugar and carbs, way to tempting for my liking.I just finished a stressful week and for the first time I feel co
It is finally happening
I am beyond excited, despite the fact that I just completed an essay and three midterms with still another essay to go. Today I've spoken with my grandparents in London and decided exactly what I will be doing for a side-trip once I go back to Europe over the winter break. As noted in an earlier post, I expressed interest in going to Vienna for the holidays due to the festive atmosphere and Christmas markets that are so famous. Plus a cup of Viennese coffee with apple strudel on a winter day surrounded by decorated trees and historic baroque and rococo architecture seemed appealing. However, after much thought, we've decided that winter with temperatures above 0 degrees
