I have been posting sporadic entries this year to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 45 single. With Thanksgiving now past, I am going to finish the year up (as well as this series) with Christmas/Holiday record trivia. Commercials seldom make me want to run out and buy their product, but they do make me want to run out and buy the songs featured in them. Earlier this year it was Landon Pigg’s “Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop” from an AT&T commercial and before that it was a Liberty Mutual ad featuring “The Part Where You Let Go” by Hem. Now the latest addition to my music library is a short little song by Canadian pop singer-songwriter Basia Bulat called “Before I Knew”. It’s featured

A new Mairo, a New Moon and a Yellow Boat
Friday after work I picked up Super Mario Bros. for Wii. What can I say, Mario and I go way back and while I would have rather had Nintendo release Mario Galaxy 2 instead of holding it off until 2010, SMB for Wii is classic fun all revamped. Oh, and did I mention, hard as hell? I need more lives. A lot more lives. I’m looking forward to having fellow Mario/Wii fans over to play since the game is a (up to) 4 player game using a new game coding technology that actually allows multiple players to be on the same screen with other players.
