BCS now has Twitter feed
The BCS hired a new PR firm, and their first move was to create an official BCS Twitter account. Head to the link to see how people are reacting to it. Hint: Not well.Source: search.twitter.com
Steelers set a record with 8 straight games allowing a return TD
The Pittsburgh Steelers have now allowed a return TD in 8 straight games, setting a new NFL record. Jamaal Charles' kickoff return to open the game was the record-breaker. Here's the list of returns that helped the Steelers forge their place in the record books once again: 9/27 - Jonathon Joseph, 30-yard INT return 10/4 - Jacob Hester 41-yard fumble return 10-11 - William James 38-yard INT return 10/18 - Joshua Cribbs 98-yard kickoff return 10/25 - Percy Harvin 88-yard kickoff return 11/9 - Robert Ayers 54-yard fumble return 11/15 - Bernard Scott 96-yard kickoff return 11/22 - Jamaal Char
Brady Quinn and Matt Stafford have huge days
If there was ever a winner in the Lions/Browns game, which the Lions won, it was whoever the hell had Brady Quinn or Matt Stafford as their starters for fantasy leagues. Quinn threw 4 TD passes with no picks and Stafford threw 5 TD pass to only two picks. Granted, both guys probably went off because they were playing each others defenses, but to anyone who started either of those guys in fantasy today, I salute you. You have balls of steel.Source: sports.yahoo.com
Dallas Clark One Handed TD Catch Against The Ravens
The Colts ended up winning this one, and Dallas Clark's touchdown catch on the Colts' first drive was a huge part of the win. Coincidentally, it was also one of the best plays you'll see all week. The Ravens apparently forgot to cover him, but he still needed only one hand to haul this one in and tiptoe out of the corner of the end zone for a TD. Not a bad catch, Mr. Clark. Between this play and Ed Reed's terrible lateral attempt late in the 4th, the Ravens' secondary really let them down in this one. AP and Coaches Top 25 polls
Not much new to report this week in the college polls, as many teams played in lopsided games. One interesting thing is that Ohio St. is ranked AHEAD of Oregon, who they'll likely play in the Rose Bowl. Remember, Ohio St. lost to USC, who got killed by both Oregon and Stanford. So, you know, should be a great Rose Bowl....if you enjoy the usual Pac-10 30-point beat down of a Big-10 school.Source: espn.go.com
