We wanted to create a blog for mothers to share and find information on current parenting topics. There is so much information available that it makes it hard to find multiple perspectives in one place (none the less understand it). Sometimes you just want to be able to read ALL the information, not just one biased opinion. This is not the place to criticize, critique or defend what you believe. We want this to be an objective environment to share web sites, links, personal stories, and other information. Please feel free to follow and leave a comment! |

Sugar
We are heading into yet another flu season and this one's a little different because of all the media coverage of the H1N1 flu virus. Whether you believe the threat to be real or over dramatized by the media, its nice to know certain preventative measures to keep you and your little one healthy. According to the FDA website, thimerosal is a mercury-containing organic compound. It has been used since the 1930's as a preservative in many vaccines (preservatives are defined as compounds that kill or prevent the growth of microorganisms, particularly bacteria and fungi). So what? According to the Natural News website, Thimerosal contains 49.6 percent mercury
