We created this blog to help you plant the seeds of your garden by providing ideas, insights, and inspiration. We hope to provide a resource for horticulture ideas, information, and happenings as well as the inside track to the provocative horticultural practices going on at the Scott Arboretum.
The Scott Arboretum, the 300-plus acre campus of Swarthmore College, exhibits over 4,000 kinds of ornamental plants with an emphasis on trees and shrubs displayed in inspirational garden design. Established in 1929 as a living memorial to Arthur Hoyt Scott through a bequest from Mr. Scott’s family, the mission of the Arboretum is to display plants suited for home gardens and to educate the public. To learn about the Scott Arboretum, visit www.scottarboretum.org. |
