Still Giving Thanks
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. We still have SO much to be thankful for. We serve an amazing and faithful God. I give thanks to Him this day.

More Waiting
This week we have 2 doctor appointments (Monday/Tuesday), then an MRI on Wednesday. We’ll go see family in Houston for Thanksgiving and then return for an appointment with 2 different surgeons the following week. Please keep lifting us up in your prayers.

Need a Laugh?
Life is short and life can be tough. Lately I’ve needed to intentionally find ways to laugh. I believe laughter is healing to the soul and those that laugh regularly live longer. This commercial makes me laugh. I hope you enjoy it, too.

Waiting
The latest is that we have an appointment with a kidney specialist on Thursday and will be doing several tests to try to diagnose what disease is causing cysts in both of my wife’s kidneys. As you can imagine, it’s tough to wait ’til Thursday. We should know more after that visit. Thanks for your prayers. We can feel them.

Emotional Day
Yesterday was an emotional day. My wife got her test results and they weren’t good. We’re now looking at a future surgery on her kidneys and dealing with the big “c” word – as it looks like she has cancer in her right kidney. The amazing part of yesterday were the hundreds of Twitter responses that I received (plus text messages and phone calls from family, friend and ministers around the country). I saw the Body of Christ acting like the Body of Christ. I know we’re covered in prayer and we move forward with hope and trust in our God who heals. We still have more tests, doctors and weeks of waiting to make sure we approach everything rig
