I lost a contest!
So a few months ago, my mom called me and said, “Hey, I was listening to NPR and they announced that they’re having a fiction writing contest! You should enter that! Because you’re a writer!” I went online and looked it up. There was actually an interesting premise to the contest; every story had to be under 600 words and begin with the same sentence.
