This blog was started when I learned the news that my beautiful daughter had HLHS. It documents all of my thoughts, feelings, emotions, and even the hard facts that I learned throughout this pregnancy. At times it will be sad, but it is a release for me to share everything about this pregnancy. This has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through in my life and I hope no one ever has to experience the grief I have had to experience. I wanted to update my profile with some more information. Hope was born on September 14, 2009 weighing 5 pounds 11 ounces. She was originally scheduled for surgery on September 24, 2009 but on the 22nd, the surgeons at Akron Children's decided she was not a good candidate for the Norwood. We had Hope transferred to the Cleveland Clinic and her Norwood was performed on September 30th. She came home on October 28th...less than a month after her surgery. She is a miracle and continues to amaze us with how well she is doing!
