Thank God My Back is Hurting
I've been thinking of my life as a business card - it's best when it has less information and more white space.Have you ever seen business cards or ads that have so much information crammed into them that nothing jumps out at you? You may not even know quite what the business does. They're unfocused and confusing.Whenever I'm working on a new business card - and I have several - I always ask the designer to leave lots of white space. Keep it simple. Cluster a little information in one corner, leave quite a few lines, then cluster a little more information in another corner, or at the bottom. A little information. Burying our Dead
I've always been creeped out by the thought of getting buried alive. Several scenes from childhood stories come to mind: one is someone getting dug up and there are scratch marks on the inside of the coffin, where the person tried to get out. Or one where the director places a camera inside a coffin and the horrified, supposedly dead person watches dirt being thrown on them, before everything goes black. Some of you know that since I returned from an East Coast Canadian island, I've gotten into hanging clothes outside. The other day, however, after getting dressed in the morning, my back started itching. After a couple of hours of incessant itching, I finally ducked into a bathroom and pulled my shirt off.
