[IGIF Presents] Evangelicals & Holiday Shores - Nov. 13th
Exciting news on the IGIF front as we continue to gear up for our "Floater's Freedom" celebration. Always looking to expand, I'm proud to (finally) announce our first concert production outside of sunny SXSW. A week from today (Nov. 13th) we'll be presenting Evangelicals and Holiday Shores at Glassworks in Louisville! This will be the first time I've seen Evangelicals since our stellar SXSW party last year and the very first time I've ever seen Holiday Shore
[Video] Grizzly Bear: "Ready, Able"
Most of you may have already seen Grizzly Bear's new video for my favorite song off of Veckatimest, "Ready, Able". Or perhaps, like me, you were wandering through airports and catching connecting flights on your way back home. Either way, Twitter tortured me all day long with news of the video's release. I finally got to watch it for the first time a few minutes ago and love the artsy claymation done by Allison Schulnik. I always wondered what would make the perfect video for "Ready, Able" and still don't know, but drug-induced colorful clay art is a good start.

[MP3] Hot Chip & Peter Gabriel - Cape Cod Kwassa KwassaI never thought the day would come where Peter Gabriel would be featured on IGIF in a capacity that doesn't poke fun at the former Genesis frontman. Oddly enough, though, when Gabriel teamed up with Hot Chip to cover Vampire Weekend's "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" he poked plenty of
[Video] Le Loup: "Grow" (Live AON Session)
The Le Loup crew stopped by AON for a quick live session, banging out one of my favorites from Family, "Grow"... check it out and get hooked, even if Pitchfork doesn't want you to: I knew these guys would kill it live -- make sure to check them out live if you get the chance. You can watch another video from their AON session here:Previously:
[Video] Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele: "Love Song 2009"
Proving a bathroom can be just as intimate as the bedroom, Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele recently stopped by The Tripwire for a hotbox recording of "Love Song 2009". I've yet to see Dent, who looks like the long lost (skinny) brother of Dan Deacon, perform live but imagine he's quite the energetic treat. Of course, I'm not the only one who hasn't seen him and handfuls of other fans just lost their chance too. Apparently Mr. May contracted the good ole' H1N1/Swine/Bubonic plague and cancelled his next four shows opening for The Fiery Furnaces
