It’s an interesting thing, to go through something that forever changes the way you view this big blue planet and the experience of being alive on it. Nothing, no matter how much you’d like it to, will stay the same. Things will come and go, people will come and go.
But one thing remains…
The story. Each one of us has a story - some big, some small. The size isn’t important. It’s the telling of the story that matters.
That’s what this corner of cyberspace is all about. |

Just wanted to share a couple of songs that have been on my heart lately.
This one’s so simple…and yet so perfect.
We try to make things so complicated sometimes, don’t we?
I really believe that’s not what Jesus intended.
That’s really what it’s all about, when it comes down to it.
It’s not about religion.
Or money.
Or anything this world has to offer.
Just give me Jesus.
That’s what matters.
This song I heard on the radio a few weeks ago, and it’s stuck with me ever since.
Sometimes it all just seems to “big” to comprehend.
Walking through the virtual photo gallery of my life…
In my spare time, (stop laughing!) I’ve been slowly but steadily working on getting my personal photographs from their mostly unedited, raw state on my hard drive into not only printable images, but also actually attempting to print them (as finances and free print credits/discounts allow!) For a while, I was really pushing my professional photography business, and in doing so, my own stuff got shoved into the background.
Pretty common.
So, in an effort to have my family photos see the light of day before my children all grow up and move out, I’m working my way through them. It’s been fun to see what was lurking on my little external hard drive (I have pho
once upon a time…
There was a girl, who had a blog.
She started out well enough, writing on a regular basis.
She shared stories and photos and the ups and downs of life.
Then, life got crazy, and the girl stopped writing.
She didn’t miss it at first, but then one day, she realized it had been an awfully long time since she had written anything….and she wondered if she still knew how.
So, because writing isn’t nearly as much fun without photos, she took her prince charming and the two of them set off in search of beauty to share with the words.
a day in the life…
I realize this isn’t a totally original idea, but I thought that for today, I’d take a few snapshots of what I did, just for fun. It was really kind of a neat way to document some of the day’s events, and I’ll probably do it again at some point. Having a little camera makes this a TON easier than lugging around my big DSLR, that’s for sure!
Since today is one of the days where I work and go to school, I thought it’d be more fun that way. Looking at the pictures I took, I can definitely think of some other things I’ll document next time, but this isn’t too bad for a first try.
My day started off getting ready to he
it’s a good thing I never joined the circus…
because juggling is hard work, and I’m just as likely to drop something as I am to keep all my balls spinning happily in the air.
I’m just about finished up with week 3 of college.
Week 3?!? What the heck?!
I am pretty sure I just started, and here I am, already in week 3.
That must be true, because I have my first exam coming up, and those usually come a little while after you start, if I remember right.
