Yard Sales, Blogoversaries, and More…
Well, here it is, my “blogoversary” – on July 2, 2007, I started this little thing. It’s actually been a lot longer than that that I’ve been blogging….I had a blog a few years back called “All at Sea” that was far more crafting/scrapbooking related. I closed that one in 2006 after life turned upside down and I felt like I needed to regroup in a more private setting. I came back to the blog world a while later…and started documenting the journey we’re on now. I don’t always write on a regular basis – just when the mood strikes, mostly. I’m not really writing for anyone but myself, but if others find som
Well, here it is, my “blogoversary” – on July 2, 2007, I started this little thing. evening light
I can’t resist the pull of a gorgeous late spring evening and a willing subject. The camera must come out. It can’t be helped. She got a new cute shirt at the mall ($2.00 – the girl’s a bargain hunter)… and in her words, she was having a “great hair day.” All the necessary ingredients to make her mama happy by allowing me to take pictures of her.

This afternoon, we decided to take a drive - I’m on vacation this week, so we’re enjoying a bit of downtime and exploring some things close to home while I’m off. Today we drove up to Idaho City. Idaho City was a bit of a boom town during the Gold Rush…but now it’s more of a sleepy little town up in the mountains, full of old buildings and interesting stories. This building was completely covered in old metal signs and all kinds of things. I think it would ha

30 days to 2 years…
In 30 days, my blog will celebrate it’s 2 year anniversary. Wow. In some ways, it doesn’t seem like it’s been that long, and in others, It feels like a lifetime ago since writing my very first post. I thought it might be fun to do a “look back - look forward” thing for the next 30 days….but I’m not sure I can commit to writing every single day. Life’s just crazy right now. But, maybe I’ll hit a few highlights, and talk a little about where things are going now, in the month leading up to the anniversary. Might be fun. Looking back at
