Blog Name: In My Fascist State
Url: http://ramonacreel.com/BlogIndex.asp?Category=5
Language: English
Topics: rant, society, political
Description: No matter how positive you try to be, there is still a lot of stupidity you have to deal with in the world. This weekly blog is intended to be a rant about anything and everything that drives me up a wall (these damned wrong-number dialers -- what the hell do we do about them?) In my fascist state, I make the rules -- they are designed entirely for my comfort and no other purpose. If you don't like it, go start your own fascist state! For those of you who remember your senior Lit class, I'm pulling a Jonathan Swift here -- I'm not actually suggesting that the English cook Irish babies for dinner, nor am I really intending to execute waiters who fail to write your order down and then come back 6 more times to ask what you wanted. It's satire. I'm just trying to get my point across. Calm down, have some dip. And if this section really offends you, just don't come back again -- go read my travel blog or art reviews or organizing articles -- they should be safe. This is my disclaimer -- you have been warned! On one other small note, I have posthumously appointed George Carlin as "official sage" and "guru-in-perpetuity" for my fascist state -- no one spoke the truth (or cut through the crap) better, and his words are wisdom to live by. So with each blog, you'll also get a blessing from Father George, allowing you to go off and live your life as a more enlightened human being...

"In My Fascist State" -- If I Were In Charge Around Here: Phooey On "Alternative"
Every year, I hear more and more parents talking about how they aren't letting their kids go trick-or-treating (because it's too dangerous) or visit a haunted house (because it's too scary) or dres...more
