Community Groups
As our church enters a new phase of community groups, I wanted to share with you a video from Mars Hill Church. Everything Brad shares in this video is everything I feel about these groups. I’m so excited to be leading a group along with my wife. I’m excited to see what God is going to do, not only in our group, but every group in the church and in the community outside of the 4 walls of our church.
In the battle!

Love Dare Day 25: Love Forgives
What I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ — II Corinthians 2:10
Today’s Dare:
Whatever you haven’t forgiven in your mate, forgive it today. Let it go. Just as we ask Jesus to “forgive us our debts” each day, we must ask Him to help us “forgive our debtors” each day as well. Unforgiveness has been keeping you and your spouse in prison too long. Say from your heart, “I choose to forgive.”
1. What did you forgive your spouse today?
2. How long have you been carrying the weight of it?
3. What are the possibilities now that youR
Love Dare Day 24: Love vs. Lust
The world is passing away, and also it lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. I John 2:17
Today’s Dare:
End it now. Identify every object of lust in your life remove it. Single out every lie you’ve swallowed in pursuing forbidden pleasure and reject it. Lust can not be allowed to live in a back bedroom. It must be killed and destroyed -TODAY- and replaced with the sure promises of God and a heart filled with His perfect love.
1. What did you identify as an area of lust?
2. What has this pursuit cost you over time?
3. How has it led you away from the person you want to be?
4. Write a
Foot Washing
I was mowing the yard a few weeks back one Friday evening after dinner. We have some geese that roam around in the neighborhood since there are still some empty lots with grass and weeds, so they will occasionally graze near the house. But tonight I noticed there was a lot of goose poop all over the yard, the first I had noticed any, and there was particularly a lot of crap in the back yard. To make matters worse, I was mowing in flip-flops. I know, not smart, you could lose a toe doing that. It was getting dark, almost difficult to see, and I certainly couldn’t see the goose poo in the back yard as I was finishing up mowing. The grass was beginning to get a little da
Love Dare Day 23: Love Always Protects
Love always protects — I Corinthians 13:7
Today’s Dare:
Remove anything that is hindering your relationship, any addiction or influence that’s stealing your affections and turning your heart away from your spouse.
1. What did you throw out first?
2. Are there others that need to go as well?
3. What do you hope the removal of these things will do for you, your marriage, and your relationship with God?
1. I wanted to toss out the computer, but then I wouldn’t be able to share on this blog! Seriously though, being on Facebook and being way to serious about some games on there that I’m playing, Let’s
