A Random Act of Kindness
I'm sure you have experienced, or at least heard about, a random act of kindness or two. You know... paying for the person behind you in the drive-through line or raking the leaves for the neighbor who just broke a leg. Well, this week I was on the receiving end of a random act of kindness. It's such an amazing God story that I can't keep it to myself. This will be long but I think it's worth sharing.Earlier in the week I stopped into a service station for a routine oil change, car inspection, and to replace my windshield wipers as the rubber on one of them was flapping in the wind. I turned over my keys and then psyched myself up to sit in the waiting area for about 30 minutes.
Hard to Believe!
OK - I know I'm a bit old to subscribe to a teen magazine but I love Susie mag! Susie is a Christian magazine for teen girls. I subscribe so that our division for teens, Living with Purpose: A Radical Revolution can support the ministry of Susie magazine. And, because my friends Shari and Lynn are contributors to this magazine. If you have a teenage daughter, please check out www.susiemag.com.The current issue just arrived and I have to share a mind-bogg

After all... dark chocolate is good for you... right?Chocolate Drizzled Peanut Butter Cookies2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature1 cup packed light brown sugar1 cup sugar1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract2 large eg
Oh, I Want to Know You More
I don't know about you but for me, spending time with Jesus every day is a struggle. It shouldn't be. It should be the easiest and most natural thing in the world but... it's the world that distracts me. I can get so caught up in, and overwhelmed by, the day-to-day busyness of this thing called life that my alone time with Jesus gets relegated to the bottom of my to-do list. How sad is that?A few days of parenting, taking care of a home, working, laundry, cooking, running errands, preparing for teaching, church, writing, and trying to sneak in spending time with friends and suddenly I am completely depleted and feeling overwhelmed and alone. Hmmmmm.... it doesn't ta
Yummy Recipe
I promised an ooey gooey recipe in my last post (about eating healthy and exercising - hah) and I want to be true to my word. I have made this yummy cheesy dip three times over the past few weeks and each time everyone asks for the recipe. So... here it is!Mexi-Dip
