I saw the this idea a couple of weeks ago on tumblr and decided to make one for my own door. It's funny because I kept thinking my door was green, and had the hardest time choosing what color ribbon to use. For the past several years, I have had the best of intentions in putting together an advent calendar for my kids, but we have always ended up with one of the 99 cent versions from the market. This year, I have finally come up with an easy, and affordable, way to make a fun calendar for my kids. Holiday Gingerbread

Yesterday as I was cutting up some linen to make Simplicity Tea Towels, this large piece simply shouted and said it must be made into an apron.
