De-crutching the Crutch Mentality
Mr Liak Teng Lit, CEO-designate of the upcoming Khoo Tech Puat Hospital in Yishun has a very different idea of what a hospital is supposed to be. Instead of encouraging hospital stays and making patients stay over for treatment, they decided that the very idea of having a hospital is so as to 'keep patients out of the hospital beds.' An interesting yet simple idea, don't you think? The simple paradigm shift, though revolutionary, is simply in my mind, evolutionary! Why is that?
