“…the most furious sea battle fought in history.”
Fleet Admiral Ernest J. King called it “…the most furious sea battle fought in history.” The night battle at Guadalcanal was a turning point of the war in the Pacific in WW II. One of the highlights of my life was to be a friend to one of the heroes of that battle, and to be used by God to draw him to Himself in the twilight of his years. This is the second Veterans Day without him, and I still miss him greatly, but we will meet again.
