The UN has been marking as a day of mourning the the day on which it approved the partition recommending partition of Palestine into a Jewish and an Arab state. The UN is currently marking the historic date of November 29 1947, the day in which it approved the partition plan separating Israel into two states – Jewish and Arabic. But while in Israel the date is celebratory, as it marks the end of the British mandate and the beginning of independent rule, the UN headquarters in New York and Geneva are holding ceremonies of mourning and solidarity with the Palestinian people

This next story is almost two weeks old, and I’m not sure how I missed it. But I did. In case you needed any extra proof that Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi is stark raving mad.. Muammar Gaddafi disappointed some 200 Italian women after he invited them using an agency advertizing a “party” where the Libyan leader proceeded to lecture them on Islam, Italian media reported on Monday. The ad, by the Hostessweb agency, was very specific in the kind of woman that should attend and read: “Seeking 500 attractive girls between 18 and 35 years old,
