In experiencing a real relationship with the great "I Am" rocks our world, and moves our thinking and lives into proper perspective. That balance then helps us to choose more wisely, to see things clearly, and most of all ...to love more deeply in meaningful relationships that are real. So, "It's Not About You" blog was born more for sharing my experience outside of my experience in missions in Africa (another blog). For if I had someone to tell me what I learned in experiencing God, I would have NEVER chosen the path I did. To then realize that LIFE wasn't about me - but God. And to know I was part of His redemptive plan for the world. I would change nothing in my past if I had too because those mistakes have helped me become who I am, and where I am today. However, it wasn't until I took God serious that the ability to arrive where I have was able to even get off ground zero. For then, with God's influence major changes took place in me and my life. Something that was shocking at first, especially living in a world that is so self centered to realize life is not about us. And yes... that truth did hurt, but then, I moved on with life, living it now God's way. And on that journey it's been quite a lesson and eye opener. As He made me see that life is ALL about HIM, and my part in his plan He'll then help me walk out as I continue to grow spiritually to follow Him. That process I now share in this blog (homefront) while my other blog: "Adventures in Faith" I share about my adventures in Africa and around the world. As God keep moving me from one phase to the next in a world spinning out of control. |
