Kristen…
This is the time of year when I never know what to expect when we head outdoors to shoot. When Kristen, a 2010 St. Croix Prep senior, arrived at the studio it looked as though the sun was going to cooperate and might possibly add some warmth to the air. I got one out of the two right…the sun did cooperate, but it didn’t do much to combat the frigid temps. Thank goodness Kristen brought along some warm cozy sweaters which definitely came in handy for the outdoor portion of her session. Kristen is such a joyful girl and her smile and laugh are positively infectious. Thanks again, Kristen and enjoy your senior year!
Prayers for Emerson…
Some of you may remember sweet, little Emerson from a session earlier this year when I photographed her and her brand new baby brother. Within minutes of arriving at her home she was dragging me by the finger up to her room where she eagerly showed me around and even pulled out a few of her favorite outfits from her closet. Needless to say, she and I hit it off and we had a ball playing dress up and taking pictures. Yesterday I received devastating news from her parents that Emerson was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia last week. Emerson is being incredibely brave and I have no doubt in my mind that she will beat this cancer. Emerson, please know that our thoughts a
Kate…
Meet Kate, a beautiful Woodbury High School senior, who also happens to be an incredibely talented figure skater. My cousin is a professional figure skater currently on tour and having watched her over the years I know first hand the level of determination it takes to succeed in the sport of figure skating. Kate skates nearly every day of the week often times before the sun rises. She is so passionate about what she does and it left me feeling inspired. Thanks again Kate for choosing me as your photographer. I had a great time working with you!
All boy(s)…
Those who know me (and my shoe collection) might think a shoot with four young boys would intimidate me. Never fear, my friends…four boys have nothing on a pair of riding boots made for such an occasion. I arrived at the shoot ready to wrangle snakes, tree frogs or any other creatures four boys might find in the woods. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and found four sweet boys waiting oh, so patiently for the photo session to begin. Throughout our session I kept waiting for chaos to erupt, but would you believe it if I told you these four boys were as good as gold from beginning to end?! I loved every minute of it! Thanks again guys for having me out to photograph
