A review of Getting Real
Getting Real is a book about 37signals’ project management philosophy. If you don’t know 37signals, let me just say that it is a web design company which turned into a software development company, when their side-project (a.k.a. Basecamp) became their main source of income.

I love Berserk. You will love it too.
Berserk is an awesome manga written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. I would define it as a dark fantasy story based in a medieval world. It’s without a doubt one of the best mangas I’ve ever read. Suffice it to say that it is one of the longest living mangas in Japan -a country that publishes each month more than 100K pages of manga-. Berserk has been up and running for over 20 years. I love Berserk. You will love it too.

When I started redesigning this blog I knew that I wanted a widget to show the most recent posts in one category using Wordpress. I didn’t want to use any pre-made plug-in though, since I like to understand how things are working under the hood and because plug-ins usually are pretty restrictive about how the content they pull is showed. I knew that I wanted to pull out the text and a short excerpt of the post trimming the images (they just wouldn’t fit in the small place I wanted the widget to take).
