Plum Paintings
I went in somewhat of a new direction with this most recent group of paintings. I started out by just praying small puddles of deep purple spray paint onto the canvas, and then building the painting around them. To make the painting work I found I had to use more toned down colors to allow the plums to stand out, resulting in these really quiet paintings, maybe with the exception of Plums 2 – the one in the middle.
