Movie Review: Confessions of a Shopoholic
This is out 26th movie in 52 weeks. Rebecca is addicted to shopping, she can’t walk past the window of a store without going inside and finishing something that will temporarily make her happy.  Her last credit card is declines as she tries to buy a scarf on the way to a job interview.  She’s told the position was filled, and she should try at a money-saving magazine that is owned by the same publishing company. Despite having creditors chasing her all over the place, she becomes a sensation with the financial readers of the magazine.  She writes columns comparing saving, spending and other financial matters with shopping for clothes.  All the while she is c

Father’s Day
The kids and Britnie made me breakfast for Father’s Day, then later we headed over to the Holbrooks and my parent’s house for some Father’s Day celebrations. The kids had a great time playing with all the cousins, toward the end of the day accompanying their Aunt Jessica around the yard wearing superhero capes.

Movie Review: The Philadelphia Story
Our 25th movie in 52 weeks is another Hepburn movie, this time without Tracy, but includes one of my favorite actors ever, Cary Grant. We had so much fun with Adam’s Rib that I was looking forward to another romantic comedy from the era.  Unfortunately this one doesn’t compare.  It has some highlights, but it’s nowhere near as funny or well-acted as Adam’s Rib was. Hepburn plays a woman who has divorced Cary Grant because he wasn’t good enough for her.  Years later she is preparing to marry a rich man and Grant ends up back in her life.  A

Timpanogos Family Reunion
Britnie’s family had a family reunion down south and after eating a quick lunch, we took the kids and hiked up to Timpanogos Cave.  It’s a little over a mile up the mountain, and the kids had a great time going up.
