Description: His use of analysis and context brings sports blogging very close to the kind of in-depth reporting one expects from “hard” news reporters. He has often been called “The Edward R. Murrow of sportsblogging.” At the same time, however, his distinctive staccato style, rhymes, syntax, and cadence are a form of color commentary all their own.

Breaking News: Iverson Retires!
The saga has supposedly come to an end for the sinister basketball icon we call A.I. In a recent post from Stephen A. Smith on his personal website, Iverson told the Philadelphia Inquirer he wanted to announce his plans to retire from the NBA. Holy cow! Looking back on this one man wrecking crew, there is one word that comes to my head. Flash. Iverson dazzled defenders with his silky smooth handles and dropped buckets whenever he wanted. The 5′11” o

These incidents have become more common and are developing into a disturbing trend. Players represent their schools and don’t understand it is a privilege and not a right to play college sports at the highest level. This year, it started early in football, with Oregon’s RB LeGarrette Blount punch after the Duck’s first game of the season. The next day, Blount was suspended for the season by coach Chip Kelly, but he was reinstated Blount on November 9th. Can someone explain to me why he was suspended for the season, only to be reins
