Day 2, Oct 6- Cambodia, Kompong Som to Phnom Penh
It is another cloudy day so there is no point in staying in Kompong Som since we cant enjoy the beach. Before we head out, Ed and I take a short walk nearhouse. There isn't too much around... except a mama chicken crossing the road with her young, and a stray dog that looked a little threatening
this actually looks like it is in ok condition...many home we drive past dont even seem to offer

I believe that the local market, especially in less developed countries is always worth a visit whenever possible. I found that this one in Cambodia was similar to the ones i visited in Peru and Nicaragua. There were so many local sights, sounds, and smells that it deserved its own blog entry. (*Please be warned that the photos in the meat/ fish market are somewhat graphic)

We catch an 8:55am flight on DragonAir from Hong Kong to Phnom Penh, Cambodia Our cute little dimsum meal for our 2 hr flight You can get your visa upon arrival, it is a farely easy and painfree process. HONG KONG- Lantau Island, Oct 4
Our last full day in Hong Kong, we decide to do some touristy stuff, and head to Lantau Island to see the Big Buddha, unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of the natural aspect of it, the beaches and the local villages.
