| Description: | This blog is a collection of my latest paintings. Artist Judy-Joy Bell, painting in oils, acrylics and watercolour. I was born in the seaside township of Kawakawa, New Zealand, where I was raised in a farming community. I have an absolute love of the countryside, and outdoors, and I try to incorporate that love into my work. I also have a love of the ocean, and painting marine art is my first love. I have been sketching, drawing, and painting for as long as I can remember, I started painting seriously in the early 1980's, firstly painting in oils, and then acrylics. I migrated to Queensland, Australia in 1986, and in 2003 I discovered the beauty of watercolours and have added them to my portfolio. I now paint primarily in oils and acrylics, but I still enjoy the delights of watercolours. |
