Justin's HIV Journal: Trouble With T-Cells & Changing Meds
Today November 18, 2009, I had an appointment with my Doctor. It didn’t go as well as I wanted. There were a few issues that I’m having with my body. 1 my T-Cell count went down and is now at 300. I don’t know what could have happened. Right now I’m on Rayetez, Novir and Truvada. My doctor has decided that we might try a different regimen. He wants to start me on Prezista (2 pills), Truvada (1 Pill) and Norvir (1Pill) so that 4 pills vs. the three pills a day I am taking now. Equality March
The Equality March was a revitalization of DC's Gay Community and a lot of Gays came from far away to join us as we protested on the streets of DC. I think the experience was a great one. A lot of people didn't think that this march would be a big as it was. My husband and I were there with a lot of our friends. There were a lot of people that we knew there. We saw Daniel Choi Cleve Jones Carol Schwartz and many others. There are many injustices that we as gay people have to face. For Example we are kicking out many able bodied men and women from the military under the "Don't Ask Don't Tell Policy". I'm an Air Force Veteran and my husband is an Army Veteran w
Justin's HIV Journal Washington DC AIDS 5K/Walk 2009
Hello Everyone,This years Washington DC AIDS Walk/5K was a complete success. Last year I raised $700.00 and this year I raised a $1350.00 dollars for the cause. That is almost half that last year I can say this year I’m really proud of myself. I also met for the first time Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton and also again got to say hello to DC Mayor Adrian Fenty. I got also was able to get Mayor Fenty to take a picture with Dab the AIDS Bear. I had so much fun. Also there were 612 runners this year there were 812 runners. Also I ranked 169 last year and this year I was 165. So that’s a great improvement.
