Weights w/o the Gym
| I never mentioned that I had canceled my gym membership this past summer. I found that I wasn’t using it as much as I like to work out at home and go outdoors. I tend to have a better regular running schedule in the colder months outside - weird, I know. So, I opted to cut out my "back-up" plan and try to push myself to do without. I was a bit lazy these past few months, but paying for a membership wouldn’t have gotten me there anyway.
I have all I need in the comfort of my home to work out. I love free weights and kettle bells - my new favorite toy! I never was a machine user and I liked to run on the ground instead of a treadmill. Now, I’ve got the best |
After Turkey Day Run
| Thursday was a bust when it comes to exercise, but I still had a good time! I didn’t overeat and I don’t think I have on Thanksgiving for the past oh, seven years or so. I just eat a plate, enjoy it and rarely am I interested in pie for dessert. Now, brownies, I can be convinced easily!
This morning Keith and I met up for our weekly run, which sometimes isn’t so weekly, but we’re getting back on track. We meet up for a long run, or right now it’s pretty short. I’ll be building my mileage over the next few months for my second crack at a Half Marathon in May.

3 Mile Walk
| It was a bit rainy and yucky out this week, but I did go for a 3 mile walk with Chris on Tuesday evening. I’m working on getting my act together I’ve just been so tired lately. I’m sure it’s because I’m not working out that I have no energy! Sometimes, there are just too many things going on and I just want to sleep. It doesn’t help that the sun disappears much earlier now too!

Easy weekend run
| I haven’t started my new plan yet, I’ve taken this week to try to get the 3 runs in and get myself back into the groove. This week coming up will be my first week following the plan I’ve set out for myself. I always do so well with my running in the winter months. I wonder why? I absolutely hate the cold, but I do love my under armor. In the summer, when I have more free time I tend to slack off. Strange.
This was an easy run with Keith, my weekend running buddy. It was nice to get back out on the trails after being off them for a month.

All day shopping!
| I’m going to count it, I walked around for 4 hours straight shopping at Woodbury Commons! I think I only sat down for dinner finally when we were all shopped out. I bought the cutest Besty Johnson dresses there… OMG, I’m so excited to wear them soon!
