simplifying separate functions to one function while using json and dojo?
I am very new at javascript and programming in general. I am using the following function and 9 more labeled "doAjax1" through "doAjax10" respectively. I have an html file called "ch2_xhrMockServer.htm" that I am calling 10 sets of json data from with the name of each being "response1" through "response10". I have 10 separate html buttons that call up each separate function. I am sure I could do this with a single function instead of 10 separate functions. I am too new at this. Any ideas on how to do this? Once I see it, I can do it from now on. Thanks everybody, and sorry for being so dense as to not be able to do something that is probably ver
string getline()
Whenever I am getting a line from a file by using the string getline() function, I seem to be getting an extra character. I am curious to know what exactly that character is. It recently caused me a bit of trouble trying to debug.
Let's say the file is like this:
abcd
efgh
and I use this code
getline(inf, line);
cout << line.length();
I seem to be getting the number of characters in the line + 1, so with this example the length is 5. My file has no spaces after the text.
2d graphics library (*nix)
I am revisiting my EE senior design project that I finished up about 8 months ago. We basically took your vehicles instrument cluster and replaced it with a computer and graphically rendered your vehicles metric with the help of a datalogger. For the graphics I used cairomm for its vector graphics and ability to draw png files to the canvas. I also used gtkmm for the drawing canvas and its interrupt functions. Our final product we could only crank out 6.5 frames a second. I am currently trying add some features that we did not get too but I want to be able to draw a minimum of 20 frames a second to the screen. Does anyone know of another graphics library other than OpenGL for lin
