Reesie & Anne Harwell
Reesie is my in-laws sweet golden retriever. Anne Harwell painted this adorable picture for me to give as a gift to my mother-in-law. Yesterday was her birthday, and I gave it to her over the weekend when they came to Charlotte to visit us. She loves dogs and Anne does such beautiful pet portraits I thought it would be a great opportunity to have Reesie captured.
small choices
I was talking with a client recently and she said to me, “it is amazing how many choices have been made within this house”. While it seems obvious, she was right; every small detail is a result of a choice. Â Really good designers think about every choice and how they all work together. Take a look at these small choices with big results. Amy Morris’s drawer pulls and lyre back chair make for a beautiful desk.
Transitional Wreaths
Every November 1st I begin thinking about Christmas and start crafting a week-by-week plan to make my favorite holiday the best it can be. There are eight weeks until Christmas so each week until then one post will be dedicated towards getting ready for Christmas. I hope that all of the posts are helpful for you to plan along with me. This will make the last week much easier and more enjoyable. As I get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas, a wreath is a nice way to transition through the holidays.
Pumpies
Little voices at our house have called Pumpkins “bump bumps” and currently “pumpies”.
Hope your Halloween weekend is filled with a variety of pumpkins and treats.
