It is critical that we learn to accept and honor our true value. We often get caught up in our daily duties as wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, employees, entrepreneurs and we forget who we truly are. We forget to take some time to reflect and act on what we truly desire. We began to live lives of quite desperation. Now is the time to find the 'licious' within and share it with the world. Trust me, the world's waiting on us. |

Lost your way you say, not sure about what to do
I can certainly understand that, cause I’ve been there too
I thought it was about my family even thought it was about my friends
Gave everything I had only to find their needs had no end
The more I gave and the harder I tried
It was never enough and each day a piece of me died
I started feeling unappreciated and thinking life was so vicious
Suddenly I realized, I simply misplaced my –licious

It’s Your Own Damn Fault
I have begun to take inventory of my life. And I must say, there have been times that I have fallen short. I failed to do things that would bring about the change I wanted to see in my life. And you know what? It’s my own damn fault. I am not a victim. No one has ‘done’ anything to me. No one ‘owes’ me anything. And no one is coming to my rescue. In all the things that I am found wanting, it is up to me to bring change.
So often we want to blame others for what is occurring in our lives. We want it to be about them and not about us. Well, I am here to tell you that whatever is going on with you…..IT’S YOUR O
Move Past the Fear
My niece, Aja was preparing to perform in a program for the elementary school she attended. She decided that she would ‘be’ Michael Jackson. As she practiced, her mother asked her if she was afraid. Her response…‘yeah, I’m afraid, but I’m still gonna do it’. Out of the mouth of babes, right? This day, my niece reminded me of a valuable lesson. She reminded me to move past my fear(s).
First let’s define fear. I have adopted the definition of fear as False Evidence Appearing Real. Just repeating those words has caused me to see things differently. Those things that I thought
This is It
After seeing the movie ‘This is It’, when I say, write or read those words together, something inside of me wells up. As I watched Michael Jackson rehearse for what would have been his last tour, reality set in. The name of the tour was ‘This is It’ and in this life that we are given….This is It. Even in rehearsal he was awesome. It was like watching a pre-concert show. So now the question remains, what are you going to do with the It that you are given?
I think anyone who saw that movie would agree that Michael was a perfectionist. The majority, if not all, of the people who knew him personally or profe
The Cloak of Invisibility
When I was a kid one of the things I secretly wished for was to just go away, to be invisible. I felt that if no one could see me, then I would be free. Free from what I’m not sure. Maybe it was free from pain…pain of any sort. Even as a young adult I secretly carried this wish with me. Now I realize that being invisible is not all it’s cracked up to be. Let me explain.
When in a relationship, if you choose to be invisible, your partner can not see you. Because your partner is unable to see you, then it’s difficult for him/her to honor you. It’s not until you show yourself that your partner has any chance of ever giving you what you sa
