I watched the interview. It’s pretty obvious that the entire campaign was an unqualified clusterfuck. It’s obvious that there is more to Sarah Palin than interviews and soundbites can show us. Unfortunately with politicians and elections we’re fed a diet of guided misdirection. I don’t think the election would have gone their way had the handlers been muzzled. And I don’t think our circumstances would be any different now, a year past the election and 11 months into the new administration. But then I’m a cynic. I’ll wait for the book to hit the bargain bin. I’ve got quite a backlog of reading to do.

Presidential Modifiers
President Obama is calling himself America’s First “Pacific” President according to this story from politico.com. Before fumbling down several flights of stairs in 1992, Former President George H. W. Bush called himself the “Environmental” President. I guess we’ll have to see whether this latest moniker has any more meaning.
