J-O-Y
I have not always been the type of person to put others first.  I’ll admit that many times in life I have been extremely selfish.  That was before I understood the definition of joy.  Joy, is something I want in life, and before you start thinking joy is the same as happiness think again.  Joy comes from our Heavenly Father, but it comes when we operate in the mindset of J-O-Y, Jesus, Others, Yourself.  Putting things in that perspective and order in life will truly bring you “joy”. Biblical tools.org explains joy this way
A Warning About Our Tech Generation Kids
Our kids are living in a tech generation. Unlike the generations of the past they communicate almost entirely using technology. Instead of passing hand written notes, they send text messages, instead of spray painting graffiti on bridges they write on each others’ Facebook walls, and even some of the youngest of them communicate via cell phone instead of begging for their own phone line at home. They have access to the Internet
It’s A Slow Fade
I was telling a friend about my latest project the other night and he said, “the song that comes to mind immediately is Slow Fade by Casting Crowns.” I agree. He’s right. Our kids are slowly fading, allowing themselves to become entrapped by Satan’s lies and involved in worldly activities that slowly are pulling them away. My favorite part of this song is the old childhood song I used to sing, O be careful little eyes what you see O be careful little eyes what you see There’s a Father up above And He’s looking down in love So, be careful little eyes what you see O b
Show 22: Something Your Teen May Struggle With
For today’s show I interviewed a young lady in ministry, Michelle Myers, who several years ago struggled with a big temptation and sin in her life. Her sin was unlike some that teens struggle with, but all the same it was the area where Satan attacked her life. She shares her story of dealing with anorexia, bringing her close to death, but ultimately closer to Christ. She now shares her story as a way to share Christ with others.
It’s My Mission
For a long time I have said that the mission of Beauty by Design Ministries has been “turning the hearts of girls towards God”, while this is still true, I mostly do this through my offline live events, when I do interactive girls or mother daughter events and my keynote speaking.  However, I do much more online, and my mission online is a bit different.  I wanted to make my mission clear.  I’m not “changing” it but I am embracing a new mission for my online community here at Beauty by Design.  That mission is: “Helping moms to connect and communicate with their teen and tween girls.”
