Well, here we are a week into Movember and occurred to me that it might get a little boring for all involved if I did not update all month. Still, I remain committed to the cause and my latest plan is to leave this post at the top - and simply update this post. Movember 2009
Well, it's finally here. What is quickly becoming by favourite month of the year - Movember. And no, that is NOT a typo. You see, I have decided to join a global movement that is bringing much needed attention to prostate cancer.  I'm doing this by growing a moustache this Movember, the month formerly known as November. I'm posting this now because it is not too late for you to join in the fun. I've

ALL CAPS!
LEAFS WIN! LEAFS WIN! THAT'S RIGHT - IT DIDN'T EVEN TAKE 10 GAMES OF THE SEASON AND THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS HAVE PULLED OFF THEIR FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON. IN CELEBRATION - THIS POST IS ALL CAPS - WOO-HOO! I'M SO EXCITED THAT I CAN BARELY CONTAIN MYSELF. I MEAN, SURE - THEY ARE THE VERY LAST TEAM IN THE WHOLE DAMN LEAGUE TO GET A WIN - BUT THEY GOT IT! IN OTHER SPORTS NEWS, MY BILLS HAVE ACTUALLY MANAGED BACK-TO-BACK WINS. WHAT IS GOING ON?! WOW! WHILE MY SEASON HAS NOT BEEN THAT GREAT SO FAR - WELL, MEDIOCRE AT BEST. I DID MANAGE TO WIN A WHOLE $34.70 GAMBLING THIS WEEKEND. YES!

Vis-à-vis
It's here: that wonderful time of year in Canada when skates get laced, sticks get taped and backyards get hosed down. That's right - it's hockey season. Sure, the NHL is in full swing but as a Leafs fan I've found it a little hard to get into this year. It matters little - as there is hockey everywhere you look and boy - have I been looking. I spent this last week watching a tournament here in town that featured teams from all across North America. I mean, it was Ontario teams mostly to be sure, but there was also some other provinces represented and even a team from the US. The amazing part? This was a tournament that featured nothing but 15 and 16-year-olds.
