"They Did It..."
...said in my best Oprah voice (all I have to say about her is "good riddance" and can't wait until that contract expires). Moving on...So, the girls walked last week. Both of them, within 24 hours of the other (I guess there is something to this identical business). I didn't get it on tape because I was too busy encouraging the activity, but I am sure I'll have plenty of time for that. With that, it was time to buy the girls a real pair of shoes. I've been dreading this day, ever since my friend, Becky's daughter started walking and she wrote a post on her blog about the cost of g
Get Down on the Get Down
My girls are dancers. They love music. It doesn't matter if it's commercials, baby toys, tv shows, radio or an iPod. My girls know how to get down. Here they are a few mornings ago after breakfast, breaking it down to the music table (Teagan is the one facing away from me). Make sure you check out Boston's sweet head bobbin' toward the end! I hope this means they're going to get their musical abilities from their mom and not their daddy!Sorry it's not the best quality, i shot it with my phone. You get the idea, though! That's all I got for now.
Preparin'
Some of you may remember a post a while back where we got our first big snow storm of the season and we had to go get some winter duds to keep us toasty. Well, I've been putting off buying a coat because it's a big purchase. Coats are freaking expensive. Of course I would have no idea how much coats cost because the only one I own, I bought while visiting Kelly in Colorado about 6 years ago (on clearance, last minute because I almost died of cold).I looked everywhere for an acceptable replacement coat and did quite a bit of research about what
Sick Girls
When we got back from Oklahoma to visit family, Teagan, Boston and I all came down with the flu. It was pretty bad. Both of the girls are thumb suckers, so that was a problem when they wanted to sleep and they were too plugged up to breathe through their noses. We had a couple nights of no sleep in order to get the girls through.Let me first say that it SUCKS to be sick and not be able to take a day and just sleep through it. You don't get to be sick as a mom, I have figured out. Poor M, he had to deal with us 3 sick girls. He just couldn't do it all on his own. Twins are a lot of work when they're healthy. I can't even tell you how much work they are when they're sick. The wors
Dear Babies: Month 11
Well, the girls and I were very sick with the flu on the 11th month of their birth. We did set them up next to their bear and take some pictures, but I didn't push them too hard to smile. I'm just glad they didn't scream during this process. We were all working on very little sleep during these photos. Well, let's get to it, shall we? Here they are in all their 11-month glory:
