| Description: | I began this blog as a journal of my journey as a newlywed. After 8 short months of marriage, I found myself single again. It has obviously been a big adjustment and a lot of things in my life have changed in the past 12 months. I figure I should consider myself lucky - I have a family who loves me, the best friends in the world, and three dogs who mean the world to me. What more could a girl want??? This blog is now a journal of my life. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, and often somewhere in between. Hope you enjoy the ride as much as I do! |

I'll probably be posting things like this from time to time. Every week I'm getting e-mails from my awesome Team in Training coach, Bethany, with little tips & tidbits about running. Not much to blog about...
Sorry I haven't posted in a while...I'm running low on motivation for blogging. Running has been pushed to the side at least until this weekend. I tore my hamstring last week and it hurt like hell! I'm happy to report that it is already feeling much better. I'm hoping to be able to run with my Team In Training team on our first group run this Saturday. It's only 3 miles, so I should be able to knock it out quickly.Practices for the St. Louis Lawyers Association Gridiron are in super full swing, and the show is this Friday at the Chase. The dances are coming together nicely, I'm actually singing backup in a song, and have purchased most of what I nee

How do you move on?
I like to think that I've come a long way since I ended my marriage in May 2008; nights like tonight make me realize that I still have a lot of healing to do.I'm a big enough person to admit that a large part of why I got married was a fear of being alone. I wanted someone to share my life with. I wanted to be a wife. I wanted to be a mother. Most of all, I wanted to be loved. When I met Brian, I was able to ignore a lot of warning signs because I thought he was the solution to the things I wanted and thought I needed in my life.This might be the very first time I've ever said this to someone else: My getting married was a direct result of my fear of loneliness.
