Love in the Time of Foreclosure was created on the hunch that people might want to hear about our experience on the inside of foreclosure. The stories, the details, the lessons we're learning. We have been doing everything in our power to avoid foreclosure for the last 9 months and we're learning A LOT in the process. We bought our 3 bedroom 1.75 bath house in Los Angeles in September of 2006 At this moment we are very close to selling our house through a short sale. We are also very close to foreclosure. We are creating a plan to climb our way out of debt... while staying sane, while having fun, while creating an amazing future for ourselves that we had never previously imagined, while prioritizing our marriage, our love and each other. We've made lots of mistakes... and we're learning. As my mom says: "It's not what happens in life that defines you but how you respond." And as my dad says: "Just keep feeding the good wolf." We are committed to responding responsibly, powerfully and creatively... and we will continue to feed the good wolf. I'm from Chicago, he's from Iowa We met on an AIDS Ride from Minneapolis to Chicago. We rode our bikes 500 miles in 6 days. This was our first date. And that was 11 years ago. May 31, 2009 was our 6 year wedding anniversary Love in the Time of Foreclosure is our story. |
