Bring your Vintage into today
Some of you may wonder how you incorporate the latest Vintage releases with our everyday, current photos. I really enjoyed the mix of Making Memories Vintage Findings and 7 Gypsies Victoria's collections. This gorgeous Artists tray was so easy to decorate with each little window telling it's own message. I have used a mix of photos and papers to fill each window, and found significant letters and embellishments to tell our story.
Don't forget that run-ons work so perfectly on photos and often there are places in your photo that lend themselves so well to their placement.

Inspired by Photos!
I have been so inspired to create lately, it is amazing how some new photos can really encourage you to express yourself through your creativity. While my family were here in September we had a photo shoot with the amazing Andrea Thompson. She is such a talented photographer and really manages to bring out the best in everybody, while still catching some really natural moments.
When I saw this new Chatsworth Collection from Papermania, I just knew the perfect layout would be easy! The mix of colours, in blues, browns and creams, the chandeliers, lamps and damask patterns, just so exciting to work with. There are also co-ordinating stamp sets, that just work perfectly with
Mistletoe a must for Christmas!
Mistletoe? I hear you say, well yes Making Memories Mistletoe collection, it is one of my favourites out for this Christmas. The colours are easy to work with and the glittered leaves are my favourite piece of the collection, followed closely with the cute pins (they all have different shapes on the heads, like stars and trees) and the chipboard buttons, as you can see they add the perfect touch to your christmas cards. I also had the pleasure of experimenting with my new sewing machine on this card. I was nervous to try, as I have never owned a sewing machine before and my skills are very basic. But I gave it a try, very slowly and voila!!

Creations a breeze with Greenhouse......
Last weekend was the first chance I have had in a while to get back to creating. I can't tell you how much I have been craving the need to create lately, however sometimes my schedule just does not allow it.
I had so much fun creating with the soon to arrive collection from K & Company; Carolyn Gaven's Greenhouse. It is so bright and cheerful and I had so much fun with the flower pad, so many pages of colourful flowers of all shapes and sizes. I used some craft wire to make a flower arrangement suitable for a gift for any occasion. The little birds are just the absolute cutest, with extra pieces to add dimension to their little feathers!
Make a start on your Christmas cards
I have just had a chance to catch up on reading my favourite magazines that arrived in the mail this week. This issue of Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft has some of my Christmas cards featured in it. It really just reminds me that Christmas is only just around the corner and we all need to start preparing or at least thinking about our cards and decorations. I always like to design a couple of simple designs and start a production line to have all the cards pre-made, my boys always love to help with this.
Check out this issue for lots of inspiring ideas.
