The Death of Blogging?
Muzenews and I were talking during breakfast today.  We think blogging is dying.  If it isn’t dying…it’s certainly morphing into something new.  That something new is Twitter and Facebook. My posting activity runs hot and cold.  So I’m not a great standard to use when forecasting the future of blogging.  But Muze and I ran down the list of people who have been adamant bloggers over the years.  Recently, most of them post very infrequently or have stopped all together.  It’s been very noticeable.  And to my surprise, Muze said she may actually give it up
Fading
This morning is quickly getting away from me.  I am going to pop back in Dragon Age: Origins here in a moment.  But for all of you playing it right now…can I just say…I LOVE the Fade storyline in the Mage Tower.  Can this game get any better?
DAO - Strategery
Well, in my last post, I said I would give my thoughts on the game as I played Dragon Age: Origins.  Obviously I’ve done a lot more playing than I have been reporting back to my blog.  But I haven’t had a game grip me like this in a long, long time.  The Half-Life series might be the next closest. The game play is pretty intense…well…for me it is.  I’ve been an MMO player for nearly 20 years, doing my job mostly as a ranged damage player.  This whole strategic combat stuff isn’t my forte, but with DAO I have been schooled.  I’ve found out that my str
DOA Thoughts While I Play…
First Play My first real time in Dragon Age: Origins has me belly laughing.  It’s very unexpected.  The game seemed like it would be as serious as they come. First, there is the “rat quest” reference that nearly made me fall out of my chair.  A great one-liner that every player has said themselves.  It was unexpected to me and caught me off guard.  Good stuff. Second, perpetual gore is hilarious and so inappropriate that it is funny.  I’m keeping it turned on.
Better Left to Marinate?
I haven’t really been able to play Dragon Age: Origins yet.  The ship day was Election Day and I was working on a local campaign until late at night.  I spent all day Wednesday recovering from all the stuff I did to my body on Tuesday.  The last thing I wanted to do…nor could do for that matter…was sit in front of a computer for any length of time. But tonight…however…I have made arrangements to delve into the game.  I’ve already rolled a human fighter just to get the feel of the game.  Then I’ll probably roll a human or elven rogue to play out that story…as a ranger more than likely.  Go figure.
