The Droid Front : Price Slash
If you were waiting for the initial rush to subside before getting your hands on the best Android set out there in market then probably this is the best time. Retailers are slashing rates for Motorola’s latest Android Phone on Verizon network – Droid. Though the price tag for the handset on Verizon still remains the same at $200, Amazon and Dell have slashed rates heavily to $150 and $125 respectively. We would not be surprised if Verizon follows soon.
YouTube Shows stream full length episodes of popular TV series
A landmark deal between Channel 4 and Google owned YouTube video sharing site now allows viewers to watch full length episodes from their favourite TV shows. Currently this deal is limited to UK based broadcasters. Apart form channel 4, there are 60 odd other participants in the video sharing deal. Orange subscribers in United Kingdom can now enjoy photo sharing through twitter. This was launched along with Oranges SMS service for Tweeting form Phone. You can tweet important stuff even if you are not connected to internet but have basic phone coverage. Google’s Image swirls to counter Bing’s interactive Image search
Google is testing a new service on Google Labs. This one is called Image Swirl and is supposed to be an answer to Microsoft Bing’s interactive image search capability. We had reported Bing’s new service some days ago. Google’s answer to the challenge comes in form of Image Swirls that are currently under developers’ and testers’ scanner. A first look at the service would impress you. It is a totally flash based application that takes in search queries and returns relevant images in groups rather than single images.
