I had hoped i would have more time to shoot street photography around New Orleans while I was there for the conference, but alas, like most conferences, it kept me stinkin' busy. Good busyness -- learning, meeting people, networking, eating good food, staying up late chatting -- but busy nonetheless. I took my camera out a few times while out and about and wanted to share just a couple photos from my fleeting time in this culture-filled city. I hope one day I get the chance to get to know it even better.
Of course, everyone said I MUST go to Cafe Du Monde for beignets (french donuts) and now I know why. I COULD EAT THEM EVERY DAY. It's a good thing I live across the country fr
PartnerCon Friends
Phew.
I just got home from a whirlwind week out in New Orleans at Pictage's annual Partner Conference. It was so much fun seeing old friends and making new ones as well. I didn't even take my camera out until I was done speaking on Tuesday so I didn't get as many photos as I would have liked, but wanted to share some of the cool people I got the chance to hang with for the week.
These are the Edmonsons -- a father/son team based out of Dallas who I absolutely adore. They were part of
Speaking at Pictage Partner Conference
This week I'm in New Orleans for Pictage's Annual Partner Conference. This is my first visit to New Orleans and I'm having a blast! I also have to say that Pictage's Conference is the best photography conference that I've ever experienced. The speakers are so generous in sharing their information and helping others out. And there is SUCH a wealth of talent and knowledge in this group. Some of the speakers I've heard and learned from in the past two days include
2009 Walk for Autism
Today I walked for Autism for the 3rd year in a row. I just love this tradition. It's so fun to strap on my tennies and meet up with my team and thousands of other strangers from my community who care about the same cause. I think it gives those of us who feel so helpless in the face of Autism the chance to feel empowered. We may not be able to find the cause or cure for this devastating disorder that affects those we love, but we can get together, raise some money and awareness and get some good old fashioned exercise in the process.
This year we raised the bar
Maurice & Eleanor's Album Design
We just finished Maurice ... Eleanor's album design and I just love it! Maurice ... Eleanor were married a few weeks ago in Tucson and I had such a great time being a part of their wedding. To see the full design, click here! And keep in mind that the finished album is much larger -- 14x10 inches in size.
