All about Food
Since you’ll all be stuffing your faces today, clearly there’s only one thing to talk about: FOOD! And since there’s been far too much cooking going on in most of our homes today, let’s limit it to others cooking for us — you know, the restaurant scene. It’s bad times for restaurants in the Twin Cities, at least for some. This summer, Bellanote closed (though business at Hooters was up 10%!), Morton’
Tis the ButterBall Season
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! …and now for a little name-dropping from the Marsh Man… Steve Marsh offers a first-hand account of ButterBall 2009. “Or is it Buettner Ball?” he asks, and later manages to throw in a dig at Buettner ex Cheryl Tiegs. Cop Fondles Prostitute… a bit too excessively
And more bad cop news… What’s the right way to bust a prostitute? Apparently, you’re just supposed to get a verbal agreement of sex for money and then make the arrest. But officer David Pleoger went a little further with his arrest of Betsy Burkland, and now the Court of Appeals has ruled that he violated due process. (via Strib) The ruling said that the officer went to Peaceful Image Tanning and Bodyworks in 2008 after receiving a tip about prostitution. He met Burkland, arranged a one-hour massage for $70 and then took off his clothes in a massage room. When
A Ring Will Not a Stadium Bring
While we’re certainly all (or at least most of us) very happy that the Vikings are doing so well this year, this likely won’t translate into a new stadium for them, ring or no ring. After his annual turkey presentation — in which the turkey went rogue —
