Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks. Or high fives. But not on the face. That's called "slappin
While 2009 has sucked in a major way in the health department (weird lady-part thing that resulted in a uterine biopsy, root canal, back injury, migraines, postherptic neuralgia, a skin biopsy, the flu and a partridge in a pear tree) I am still very thankful for my life and especially the people in it.
I'm thankful for my husband. I really put my husband to the test with the "in sickness and in health" thing he agreed to right before the start of 2009. SUCKER! (Just kidding, I love you honey. Smooches.) In all seriousness, I knew o
Guest Blogger: The Kid Reviews "New Moon"
New Moon was the most amazing movie. I mean, how Bella found out that Jacob was a werewolf and how her love, Edward, abandoned her and then tried to die for her was amazing. I especially liked the ending even though it really didn't make much sense, I mean, how could Edward just asked Bella to marry him and it blacked out? It was the WORST when they blacked out. I just can't wait for Eclipse! It's coming out on June 30, 2010! How can anybody wait that long? TORTURE! Bella is going to marry Edward! And then they will have that cute little baby that ages quickly and marries Jacob. Whoops, I think that is Breaking Dawn.

A little something from Boots and Barns to soothe that throat?
Beatrice (have I mentioned that it will be hard for me to refer to my kid as Beatrice???) has been sick for at least the last week. She ended up with acute bronchitis and rhinitis both of which are not communicable but when you have a kid with asthma you worry. A lot.
She stayed home with her Gramma (who was also, uh, sick) and of course got much better treatment there than she does at home with me. When I picked her up she told me all about this lovely Wedding Tea that her Gramma gave her to soothe her throat. She loved it. It had leaves! And flowers!
I was running a little late the next day and by the time I came downstairs she had her Gramma makin
Wordless Wednesday
Ok, let's give this a try.
I'm going to stay true to Wordless Wednesday.
I will not write any words about the pictures I post.
Those words above don't count. Nor do these.
Crap, I wrote words on the picture.
I'm not very good at this Wordless Wednesday thing.
How to make your kid neurotic about safety.
The steps:
Set your house alarm. All the time. Teach them all the safety codes. Practice once a week.
Make your kid get in your car door and crawl into their seat so you only have to unlock one door.
Have them help you check every window/door before you go to bed.
Give them a cell phone with GPS tracking when they are 6. Ask them if they have their cell phone at least five times before you drop them off. Yell at them when they forget to charge it.
Make them watch the "Safe Side" video every day. Ask who their "Safe Side" adults are
