Thoughts for the Holidays
It’s 4am and I can’t sleep. And amongst the million things on my mind, I find myself thinking about the girls. Are they ok? What are they struggling with? What’s on their minds? What happened today in their lives? In the midst of their situation, are they becoming the best women they can be…the women they deserve to become? I’ve been thinking about the past trips I’ve had with them and how my relationship with each one has grown. I love that amongst all the memories I have in my life, some of my favorite are the times I’ve sat with them while doing homework, or listening to music, or wiping away tear after tear as I hug their shaking little bodies.
