FILM REVIEW: Where the Wild Things Are (2009)
So acclaimed director Spike Jonze directs Where the Wild Things Are, a film adaptation of the Maurice Sendak children's classic of the same name, and we have a "this is going to be the best movie you will ever see" trailer to add fuel to our fire. I've essentially summed up the back story of one of 2009's most anticipated films - and possibly the most anticipated film of the year, save for that
FILM REVIEW: Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire (2009)
Upon my first hearing of it, I didn't know what to think. However, when you add on all the Oscar buzz for the film, it all equates to my expectation of Precious to be one of the greatest films of the year. I just saw it yesterday, and while it's not the perfect ten-for-ten that I was expecting, it certainly lives up to its hype as one of the year's best films.

I'd like to again wish everyone out there a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope everyone got to eat as much as they could! Anyway, since this is a movie blog, I thought I'd post some movie-related things that I'm thankful for:
I was able to catch the last local showing of Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are this past Tuesday! I'd been wanting to see it for awhile and finally did!
