The other day I paid for a prescription and 2.44 gallons of gas with a $10 bill, six $1 bills, and $15 in quarters. And it all fit in the sensible little Prada wallet I bought before the BSO’s European tour two years ago, right after the IPO. We’re used to these big swings – changes in income, lifestyle, credit rating; “stretching payables,” as they said in business school. In the club, we’re good at the buy-low-sell-high part.
