John Wozniak, has worn many hats during his fifteen years in the music industry: As Singer/Songwriter; Record Producer; Owner of Mushroom Studios (Vancouver, BC), A&R Rep (Capitol/EMI), but he’s probably best known as the creative force behind Marcy Playground; the band that brought you the 1997 hit “Sex and Candy.”  Almost 12 years later, John continues to write and release albums with the band, and I was able to catch up with him by phone last week, as Marcy Playground’s “Leaving Wonderland 2009/10” tour found their bus rolling into Houston Texas. The Self Made Musician
Gabe Roth is the bass player, producer, main writer and founding member of Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and the head of their label Daptone records.  Gabe also recently won a Grammy award for engineering the Amy Winehouse record “Back to Black”.  I was lucky enough to be in a band with Gabe in college back when he was a drummer.  He is one of those enviable musicians who can pick up any instrument and make it look effortless.

Independent Radio Promotion With Munsey Ricci
Munsey Ricci runs an independent Radio promotion and marketing company called Skateboard Marketing.  Skateboard Marketing puts hard rock and metal acts on Active Rock, Album Oriented Rock (AOR) stations and College stations that play metal.  Munsey started his career as a guitar player, worked in a jingle house as an engineer and created the Metal department for Polygram records in 1989 before starting Skateboard Marketing.  Over the past seventeen years Munsey has worked with Disturbed, Pantera, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Anthrax just to name a few.  He was kind enough to take the time to be interviewed about how radio and radio promotion

Duane Lundy is a touring musician, songwriter and producer based in Lexington, KY.  Duane has worked with producers like Daniel Lanois and Eddie Kramer and members of the band My Morning Jacket.  He currently divides his time producing records and touring with his group Chico Fellini.
