Description: My African Princes is a blog that I keep. I use it as a "scrapbook" of our life as a family. I also try to give other families that may be interested connections to information about culture, heritage and adoption information. Our family has been blessed with adoptions from South Africa and Ethiopia.

Thanksgiving!
We spent an absolutely perfect, wonderful holiday with family this year! The boys got to spend the holiday with two sets of their great grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Anderson, Auntie JoAnne, Aunt Jen, Uncle Jesse, and Cousins Hayden and Tanner. We are so blessed! Grandma Esther made a fabulous dinner! FAB U LOUS!!! Abram spent most of the dinner chewing on a turkey leg! Chicken legs, and turkey legs... this boy can't get enough! Owen, who chose to sit by me at the "big" table, and even asked to sit by me (melt my heart) ate more lefse than I know. I brought it up later, telling him that I thought he had seven pieces. He told me no way. Could have been 6 or 8, but more than l
Light Parade!
Is it really that time of year again! Tonight I took the boys to the Merry Prairie Lights Parade! It has been a tradition to go for as long as I can remember! Some parades colder than others, but this one...NICE!! It was gorgeous! The boys bundled up anyway, and even brought their chairs and footrests, and blankets! We were lucky to meet our good friends at the parade! The boys had a blast!
How could I have forgotten?!
How could I have forgotten about this jacket!! Abram must have seen it in the closet, and I am glad he did. Owen's "bomber" flight jacket, with huge airplane patches on it. OH MY! How absolutely perfect for this WWII, fighter jet, lover! The only problem, it is size 4. Well, the jacket will work, if not for a couple of weeks--eek! The pants, fit his skinny little waist of course, but are much too short. I have a feeling that I will be searching ebay for a new one! I am glad Abram found this one when he did! (and the matching hat too!)
Takin' it easy!
We have been taking it easy around here. Solomon is feeling much better, But this weekend Jared and I were hit hard by the cold bug! Thank goodness for Disney! I am usurally very anti movie and TV, but sometimes there is nothing better than cuddling up and watching Toy Story or Cars. And if there is a tent to watch it in, even better!
Hockey Games
Well, we are now officially IN the season! Sundays, we will go to church and Sunday school, and then...the rink! Most of Abe's games will be on Sundays. Now, we don't make Solomon and Owen attend most practices, but we try to go as a family to the games. Jared and I love to watch Abe play but the boys, not so much! So far, so good, though! I guess it helps when grandparents, candy, and friends show up!
