House pass health care reform bill 220-215
About an hour ago, the House of Representatives passed HR 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act, which brings us one step closer to health care reform.
After the vote, the Connecticut delegation issued a series of releases:
Joe Courtney:
This evening, the House of Representatives took an historic step in the right direction for our nation's health care system by passing H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act. After nearly a year, and after many hearings, town hall meetings, discussions with constituents, and conversations with health care professionals, I believe that the legislation passed is one that will improve access and quality of hea
Krayeske v Hartford in Bridgeport Federal Court, Friday, 11/6/9, 2 p.m.
Bridgeport, CT: On Friday, November, 6, 2009 at 2 p.m., at the federal district court in Bridgeport, judge Stephan Underhill will hear oral arguments on motions for summary judgment in Krayeske v. Hartford, the civil rights lawsuit I filed.
I am inviting all persons interested in watching to attend the hearings. I filed the civil rights lawsuit against three Hartford police officers, two state cops and the city of Hartford for false arrest, false imprisonment, excessive bond and free speech violations on May 24, 2007.

9 Health Care Reform Activists Arrested in Sen. Lieberman's Office Today
Nine health care reform activists were arrested this morning while staging a sit-in inside Senator Joseph Lieberman's congressional office in Washington, D.C.
The activists were there representing an organization called Mobilization for Health Care For All.

The group was also there to protest Senator Lieberman's announcement las
Lamont: In exploratory phase for Governor
"I'm in the exploratory phase for statewide office as the lawyers have explained to me," Lamont said.
Lamont says he's been considering a run for governor for a year and doesn't care if the popular incumbent Republican runs for another term or not.
"Governor Rell's going to do what she's going to do but at the end of the day you need a stronger hand at the tiller. I mean this state's in trouble. Read that Moody's report that just came out. They gave us a failing grade, they described us as something like a slow motion fiscal car wreck," Lamont said.
Interesting how much
Lamont In - Rell Out There Somewhere?
Still waiting on word from Rell on whether or not she will be running - presumably she is having trouble forming an opinion on whether or not to run without Dautrich first poll testing the idea - but, via Paul Bass, it looks like Lamont is getting ready to run for Governor:
Ned Lamont, who took on U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman three years ago, has formed an "exploratory committee" for a challenge to Gov. M. Jodi Rell in 2010. He plans to talk about Moody's, not Moody.
Lamont planned to star
